The Carella Apartments are located right in the historic center, halfway between the mare and the city's living room... A few meters to the right is Piazza Verdi with the majestic Teatro Massimo (one of the city's main attractions), the historic Capo market, and the Politeama Theater with its Piazza Castelnuovo, the city's pulsing center. In a few steps you reach Via Maqueda, a pedestrian shopping street that leads to the famous Quattro Canti and Corso Vittorio Emanuele with the Cathedral and the Palazzo dei Normanni (with the wonderful Cappella Palatina).
Going to the left side, on the other hand, you can easily reach the Foro Italico and the Cala, with the wonderful crystal clear mare and the "passìo."
The area where the Carella Apartments are located is a quiet, video-monitored area: just across the street is the Prefecture (set in a sparkling Florio villa) and the Guardia di Finanza barracks. Just on the corner of the street are stops for the main city buses and for Mondello beach.
